The scheme "Ayush Oushadhi Gunvatta Evam Uttpadan Samvardhan Yojana" by the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India aims to ensure the safety, efficacy, and quality of Ayush medicines through providing financial assistance for upgrading pharmacies, laboratories, and regulatory frameworks to the intended beneficiaries, including government and private Ayush drug manufacturers and testing units.

Benefits

  • Financial Assistance for Infrastructure and Technology: 1. State Government / UT Government ASU&H Pharmacies and ASU&H Public Sector Units (PSUs): Funding Support: Up to ₹6,00,00,000/- per unit. 2. State Government / UT Government ASU&H Drug Testing Laboratories and Government Research Council Laboratories: Funding Support: Up to ₹3,00,00,000/- per laboratory. 3. Private ASU&H Pharmacies: Funding Support: 50% of the project cost, limited to ₹3,00,00,000/-. 4. Private ASU&H Drug Testing Laboratories / In-house Quality Control Laboratories of GMP-Certified Manufacturing Units: Funding Support: 50% of the project cost, limited to ₹1,50,00,000/-.   • Ayush vertical in CDSCO: Professional charges, Capacity building and training programs (₹5.00 lakh per program, maximum 3 programs), Documentation, publication, and dissemination of quality control materials, Upgradation of drug regulatory portal/website.- State Ayush Directorate/State Drug Controller of Ayush Drugs: Maximum funding: ₹15.00 lakh per State/UT per year. - Reimbursable expenditure includes:
  • Online portal maintenance and development, Collection and testing of statutory/survey drug samples, Training of technical staff at PCIM&H/NABL, Awareness and IEC activities. Standards Development:
  • Organizations engaged in developing standards for Ayush materials are eligible for funding up to ₹20,00,000/- per year

Financial Assistance for Infrastructure and Technology:

Eligibility

Component A (Pharmacies/Labs):

  • The applicant should be a State Government ASU&H (Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, and Homoeopathy) Pharmacy, Cooperative, or Public Sector Undertaking.
  • The applicant should be a private ASU&H manufacturing unit that is GMP compliant and has been functional for at least 3 years.
  • The applicant should be a licensed Drug Testing Laboratory in the Government or Research Council sector.
  • The applicant must have a functional ASU&H Pharmacy in their State/UT to be eligible for Drug Testing Laboratory funding.

Component B (Pharmacovigilance):

  • The applicant should be a National Institute, University, or Hospital under the Ministry of Ayush or State Government.

Component C (Regulatory):

  • The applicant should be a State Drug Regulatory Authority or State Licensing Authority.
  • Component D (Standards):
  • The applicant should be a medical, scientific, or standards development institution in the Government or Private Sector.

Application Process

Offline

  • Invitation of Proposals: The Ministry of Ayush shall invite proposals from GMP-compliant ASU&H manufacturing units and licensed ASU&H Drug Testing Laboratories in the public and private sector through open advertisements published in national daily newspapers.

  • Advertisement Schedule: The advertisements shall be issued twice a year, first in the month of January and second in the month of July.

  • Submission of Hard Copy: The applicant should submit the duly filled application form and supporting documents in hard copy to the Ministry of Ayush as per the instructions mentioned in the advertisement.

  • Submission of Application: Application shall be submitted both in hard and soft versions (in PDF/Word files). The soft copy should be emailed at the designated Email ID of Drug Policy Section, Ministry of Ayush on the following address: dcc-Ayush@nic.in
