Assistance in Trellise Mandap for Cultivation of Vegetable Crops

The scheme "Assistance in Trellise Mandap for Cultivation of Vegetable Crops" by the Agriculture and Co-operation Department, Government of Gujarat, aims to promote sustainable and structured vegetable crop cultivation by extending financial assistance to eligible farmers for building kachha, semi-pucca, and pucca trellis mandaps using materials like wood, bamboo, GI wire, and plastic wire. This initiative not only supports effective vegetable cultivation techniques but also improves the productivity and longevity of vegetable crops grown on trellises.

Monetary Assistance:

• General Farmers: 50% of unit cost or ₹80,000/- per hectare- SC/ST Farmers: 75% of unit cost or ₹1,20,000/- per hectare- Devipoojak Farmers: 90% of cost or ₹46,800/- per hectare

Input Support:

• Wood/Bamboo Supports: 1,600 units per hectare- GI Wire (12–18 gauge) or Plastic Wire: 400 kg per hectare- Recommended Plant Spacing: 2.5 x 2.5 meters (approximate)

Coverage Limit:

• Maximum Area: 2.00 hectares per Khata

• Assistance duration: 3 years

• The applicant should be a farmer
• The applicant should be a resident of Gujarat.
• The applicant should be engaged in vegetable cultivation.
• The applicant should be willing to construct trellis mandaps.

> Registration Process:

Step 1: The applicant may visit and apply online at the I-Khedut Portal.
Step 2: Click on 'Login' from the top right-hand side, then click on "Beneficiary Registration" and select any one from the 'Farmer' or 'Institutional' or 'Except For the Farmer' as the Beneficiary Type.
Step 3: Select the District, Taluka, and Village, choose 'what type of account holder you are?', enter your Account Number and Name, solve the Captcha, and click 'Save and Next'.
Step 4: Enter your Mobile Number and Email address, click 'Send OTP', enter the received OTP, create and confirm a Password, solve the Captcha, and click 'Submit'.
> Login Process:

Step 1: The applicant may visit and apply online at the I-Khedut Portal.
Step 2: Click on 'Login' from the top right-hand side of the homepage. On the home page, click on ‘Schemes’ and then click on ‘Agricultural Schemes’.
Step 3: Now select the scheme, click on the ‘Apply’ button, and an application page will open.
Step 4: Click on the "Apply New" button and submit a new application.
Step 5: Click on the "Update Application" button to add corrections to the application.
Step 6: Once the application is done, confirm it.
Step 7: Take a printout of the confirmed application.
