The scheme "All Goa One-Act Play Competition in Konkani" was launched by the Tiatr Academy under the Art, Culture and Museums Department, Government of Goa. The scheme aims to attract youth towards dramatic activities and provide ample opportunities to showcase their talents in dramatics while promoting Goan culture through Konkani theatre. The scheme provides cash awards for the top 3 performances along with mementos and certificates, individual awards for various categories like direction, acting, music, and stage setting, and reimbursement of transport costs as per Regional Transport Office norms. The applicant must be an individual, club, or association capable of presenting a One-Act Play in Konkani with duration between 35 to 45 minutes, and must submit a typed copy of the play in Roman script along with written permission from the playwright. The scheme is implemented by Tiatr Academy of Goa. The applications for this scheme are accepted offline.

Performance must not contain adverse remarks against any governments, individuals, institutions, or anything against caste, creed, and religion. Participants must abide by all competition rules and regulations. Any violation may result in disqualification and forfeiture of benefits

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be an individual, club, or association.
  • The applicant must present a One-Act Play in Konkani language.
  • The applicant must ensure the play duration is not less than 35 minutes and not more than 45 minutes.
  • The applicant must ensure participation only when at least 5 groups are participating in the competition.

Application Process

Offline

Step 1: The interested applicant should take a printout of the prescribed format of the application form.
Step 2: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest, if required). Sign the application form and mention the date.

*Applicants are advised to save a copy of the submitted application form and any acknowledgment.
*Applications are considered on a "First come First Serve" basis, subject to the availability of funds.
*Performance date and time will be determined by draw of lots.
*If applicant withdraws after schedule is drawn, full security deposit will be forfeited.
