Who is eligible to apply for the AGR-61 Agro Service Providers Scheme?

The scheme is open to Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS), Farmer Groups, Farmer Producer Companies, Cooperative Institutions, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), Sakhi Mandals, and individuals with relevant agricultural education such as a Diploma, Graduate, or Postgraduate degree in Agriculture or a Bachelor of Rural Studies (B.R.S.).

How much financial assistance is provided under this scheme?

The scheme provides financial assistance of up to 75% of the cost of farm implements (limited to ₹7,50,000/-) in general areas and up to 85% (limited to ₹8,50,000/-) in tribal areas.

How is the financial assistance distributed over the years?

In general areas, the assistance is provided as 40% in the first year, 10% in the second and third years, and 7.5% in the fourth and fifth years. In tribal areas, the assistance is 50% in the first year, 10% in the second and third years, and 7.5% in the fourth and fifth years.

Can an individual farmer apply for the scheme?

An individual farmer can apply only if they hold an agricultural qualification such as a Diploma, Graduate, or Postgraduate degree in Agriculture or a Bachelor of Rural Studies (B.R.S.). Otherwise, only eligible groups and cooperative institutions can apply.

Are cooperative institutions eligible for this scheme?

Yes, cooperative institutions engaged in agriculture are eligible to apply under this scheme.

Can an SHG (Self-Help Group) or Sakhi Mandal apply for the scheme?
