The scheme “Vishesh Abhiyaan - Humdard” has been implemented by the Uttarakhand State Legal Services Authority, Nainital, under the Department of Law, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to organize special campaigns for senior citizens, mentally and physically challenged individuals, and other destitute people in the state to make them aware of welfare schemes, their legal rights, access to benefits, skill development, personal security & protection, etc.

Offline
The District Legal Services Authority, established in the district court complex of each district, along with officers appointed at each external court and tehsil level, designated advocates, staff, and para-legal volunteers, receive one to three days of training to enable them to assist senior citizens, disabled, and destitute individuals. When necessary, para-legal volunteers also conduct door-to-door awareness campaigns.
If an elderly person requires any assistance, they can contact a legal volunteer in their area, who is responsible for providing support to senior citizens, disabled individuals, and other destitute persons.
