Details
The Urban Infrastructure Development Scheme for Small and Medium Towns (UIDSSMT) focuses on enhancing sewerage infrastructure in 11 cities: Chirawa, Laxmangarh, Jaitaran, Nimbaheda, Bhadra, Nawalgarh, Suratgarh, Bari-Sadri, Fatehnagar Sanwad, Kushalgarh, and Ramgarh Shekhawati. The total sanctioned amount for the project is Rs. 657.14 crore, with funding shared as follows: 60% from the Government of India (GoI), 20% from the Government of Rajasthan (GoR), and 20% from Urban Local Bodies (ULBs). As of now, work has been completed in 5 cities, while work is in progress in 6 cities. The total sewer line laid is 798 km, with 744 km completed. There are 22 sewerage treatment plants planned, of which 13 have been completed and 9 are still in progress. A total of 45,000 sewer connections are targeted, with 30,649 connections already completed. The physical progress of the project stands at 90%, and the financial progress is at 80%, amounting to Rs. 504.65 crore.
