Details
The Ujjwala Scheme, initiated by the Ministry of Women and Child Development of the Government of India, aims to prevent and rescue women and children involved in trafficking for commercial sexual exploitation. The scheme focuses on empowering these individuals to lead a dignified life and reintegrate them into society through the support of non-governmental organizations (NGOs). It provides immediate and long-term rehabilitation services, including shelter, food, clothing, health care, legal assistance, and vocational training.
