Training Classes In Veda/Devaram

The scheme "Training Classes in Veda/Devaram" was launched by the Hindu Religious Institutions and Wakf Department, Union Territory of Puducherry. The scheme offers specialized training classes in Veda, Devaram, and Nalayira Divya Prabantham. These subjects are required for divine worship/Poojas. The classes are conducted in various Saivaite and Vainavaite temples in the Puducherry region to provide instruction to eligible candidates. The instructing pandits (teachers) are provided an honorarium of ₹1,000/- per month. Applications are collected by receiving them from some of the important temples of the Puducherry region.

• Provision of training classes in Veda, Devaram, and Nalayira Divya Prabantham, which are required for divine worship/Poojas.
• Instructing pandits are provided an honorarium of ₹1,000/- per month.
• The honorarium is given once every three months.
• The honorarium is disbursed upon the pandits furnishing attendance particulars of the students who attended the Veda classes.

• The applicant must be an eligible candidate to receive the training.
• The applicant must be a resident of Puducherry.
• The applicant must know how to read, write, and speak Tamil fluently.
• The applicant must be interested in receiving specialized training classes in Veda, Devaram, and Nalayira Divya Prabantham.

Step 1: The interested applicant should take a printout of the prescribed format of the application form.
Step 2: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, and attach copies of all the mandatory documents.
Step 3: Submit the duly filled and signed application form, along with the documents, to the concerned authority at the temple.
*The processing time for the application shall be 15 days.
