The scheme "Assistance to Parents of Transgenders" is a component of the “Sweekruti” scheme, implemented by the Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD) Department, Government of Odisha. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to the parents of transgender children to support them in successfully raising their children against societal intolerance, stigma, discrimination, and violence.

Benefits

  • - Financial assistance: ₹1,500/- per transgender child per month. Note:
  • Assistance is provided until the child reaches the age of 18 years
  • In case of death of the parent, supportive money will be made available to the guardian subject to production of the relevant Certificate of guardianship obtained from Competent Authority

Eligibility

  • Applicant should be the parents/ guardian of the transgender child.
  • The child must be under 18 years of age.
  • The child should have gender non-conforming behavior.

Offline

Step 1: Download the application form (Annexure A or Refer to Page No. 19) and fill out all required sections of the application form accurately.
Step 2: Submit the completed application form along with all attached documents to the Block/ULB Administration office.
Step 3: Ensure you receive a submission receipt for future reference.
