Details

The Swasthya Karmi Yojana is a program aimed at controlling tuberculosis (TB) in remote villages where health department efforts have been insufficient. The initiative focuses on identifying TB patients and ensuring they receive complete treatment through health workers involved in the Swachh Project. These health workers also maintain continuous contact with pregnant and lactating women, provide family welfare resources, encourage sterilization, administer vaccinations, distribute iron and folic acid tablets, and promote safe institutional deliveries under the Janani Shishu Suraksha Yojana. Additionally, they raise awareness about issues like child marriage and substance abuse, while verifying the progress of all activities with the relevant Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM).
