Details
The objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance or grants to eligible beneficiaries for housing construction, replacing the existing scheme of the division. Beneficiaries who qualify under the Central Government's Housing for All Mission (Urban), the Affordable Housing Scheme, the Chief Minister's Jan Awas Yojana, or any other housing scheme of the Central/State Government will receive support for obtaining housing under these schemes or for constructing housing on their own land.
Benefits
- - Financial assistance of up to ₹1.5 lakh for eligible beneficiaries under the relevant housing schemes
- For those constructing housing on their own land, a grant of up to 25% of the actual construction cost, limited to a maximum of ₹5lakh
- Financial assistance of up to ₹1.5 lakh for eligible beneficiaries under the relevant housing schemes.
- For those constructing housing on their own land, a grant of up to 25% of the actual construction cost, limited to a maximum of ₹5 lakh.
Eligibility
- Must be a registered construction worker for at least 6 months in the division and have made a contribution.
- Must possess an Aadhaar card and a Bhamashah card (optional).
- If constructing on own land, must have ownership rights on the land, which should be free from disputes and encumbrances.
- Must meet the eligibility criteria for housing under the Housing for All Mission (Urban) or other government housing schemes.
- Verification of the applicant's status as a construction worker will be conducted by the Labour Department.
Exclusions
Beneficiaries who already own a house or have received assistance under any existing housing scheme are not eligible. If the applicant or their spouse/children already own a house, they will not be eligible for this scheme. Only one housing grant is allowed per beneficiary's lifetime.
Application Process
Online
Applicants must fill out the prescribed application form (Form-2) and submit it to the local labour office or an authorized officer within the specified time frame. Applications can also be submitted online. The application must be submitted within one year of the date of construction on their own land or after qualifying for housing under any government housing scheme. After verification, the grant approval order will be issued within 60 days.
