Additionally, during the festive months of Janmashtami and Diwali, the state government distributes an extra 1 kg of sugar to Antyodaya card holders at a subsidized rate of Rs. 15.00 per kg and to BPL card holders at Rs. 22.00 per kg per card. The scheme covers 35.59 lakh beneficiaries under Antyodaya Ration Cards and 127.56 lakh under BPL.
