The Sub Mission on Seed and Planting Material (SMSP) aims to increase the production of certified and quality seeds. It focuses on strengthening Seed Testing Laboratories and assisting Seed Producing Institutes in adopting new technologies. This initiative ensures that farmers receive quality seeds at the right time and at reasonable prices. Additionally, it involves the development of infrastructure for seed industries, improvement of seed quality, capacity building for seed production, and the creation of a Seed Bank to address adverse natural calamities.

Eligibility
