Eligibility
- The applicant must have a postgraduate degree (M.Sc./M.Tech.) in any discipline of Earth Sciences.
- The applicant must hold a valid national-level fellowship such as:
- NET-JRF (UGC/CSIR).
- INSPIRE Fellowship.
- Any other equivalent national fellowship.

Step 1: The interested applicant should visit the official online application portal and create a Username/Application Log-In by clicking on the “Sign Up here” option.
Step 2: Log in using the credentials received on your registered email ID, and click on “Complete your application” to proceed.
Step 3: Fill out the application form as per the instructions mentioned in the portal and upload the following mandatory and applicable documents in the specified format and size
Step 4: Choose the relevant Admission Route for the iPhD Program:
- Fresh Candidate (Not registered in PhD at AcSIR): Choose a research area and lab preference. Eligible for AcSIR-NIF Innovation Doctoral Fellowship. - AcSIR PhD Student: Submit Enrolment Letter and Thesis Research Proposal. Eligible for lump sum research support through AcSIR faculty. - NIF Employee: Submit Permission from Director, NIF and Proposed Research Problem. No additional financial support provided. - Industry Sponsored Candidate: Submit 'No Objection Certificate' from the employer and Proposed Research Problem.
Step 5: Confirm the application details, review the entire form carefully, and then submit the application.
Note: There is no application fee for this process.
