The State Insurance Scheme is mandatory for all state employees in Rajasthan, implemented under the Employee Insurance Rules of 1953. The new rules came into effect on April 1, 1998, following the establishment of the state. This scheme provides insurance coverage to government employees, ensuring financial security in case of unforeseen events.

Eligibility

All government employees in Rajasthan who are appointed to a substantive post under the government, Zila Parishad, Panchayat Samiti, or specified organizations.

Exclusions

Employees suffering from serious diseases such as Tuberculosis, Asthma, Cancer, Diabetes, AIDS, or any other serious diseases notified by the government are not eligible for insurance under this scheme.
