  • Total finance cost: ₹1,00,000/- per goat unit (30 goats + 2 improved breed goats).- For general category beneficiaries: 25% subsidy on the total cost, up to a maximum of ₹₹25,000/-- For SC/ST beneficiaries: 33.3% subsidy on the total cost, up to a maximum of ₹33,300/-

Financial Assistance Under the State Goat Entrepreneurship Development Scheme

  • Total finance cost: ₹1,00,000/- per goat unit (30 goats + 2 improved breed goats).- For general category beneficiaries: 25% subsidy on the total cost, up to a maximum of ₹₹25,000/-- For SC/ST beneficiaries: 33.3% subsidy on the total cost, up to a maximum of ₹33,300/-.

Eligibility

  1. The applicant should be a resident of Chhattisgarh for at least five years.
  2. The applicant should be linked to a loan from a Nationalized, Cooperative, or Regional Rural Bank.
  3. The applicant should be willing to sign a contract with the department to operate the unit for at least three years.
  4. The applicant should be eligible for the grant only after obtaining the Unit Establishment Verification Certificate, a demand letter from the bank, and submitting necessary documents.
  5. The applicant should be the only person from a joint family applying for the grant.
  6. The applicant should be aware that a joint family receiving benefits under the scheme cannot reapply for the next five years.

Application Process

Offline

Application Submission

  • The applicant must submit the application in the prescribed format at the nearest veterinary institution (veterinary dispensary, artificial insemination sub-centre, main village unit, veterinary hospital, artificial insemination centre, or main village block).
  • The application will be registered at the development block-level veterinary institution.

Forwarding to Bank

  • The Department will forward the application to the bank branch suggested by the applicant for loan approval.

Loan Approval & Animal Purchase

  • After loan approval from the respective bank (nationalized, cooperative, or regional rural bank), the applicant will purchase the animals.

Grant Release

  • Once the bank approves the loan and the beneficiary purchases the animals, the bank will submit a demand letter along with the verification report to the Joint/Deputy Director, Veterinary Services of the concerned district.
  • Based on the report, the grant will be approved, and the amount will be disbursed to the bank.
