The scheme provides cash prizes to winning participants, with the first prize winner receiving ₹2,000/- and the second prize winner receiving ₹1,500/-, along with special category awards of ₹500/- each for Original Drama, Best Director, Best Writer, and Best Scene Composition. The applicant must be willing to participate in the state-level solo drama competition and perform a solo theatrical act.

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a resident of Gujarat.
  • The applicant must be willing to participate in a solo drama competition.
  • The applicant must perform a solo theatrical act as per the competition requirements.

Application Process

Offline

Step 1: Visit the official website of 'Mari Yojana' at https://mariyojana.gujarat.gov.in.
In the search bar provided at the top of the page, type 'Competition'. All the schemes of the Government of Gujarat having the word 'Competition' will be listed.
Step 2: From the list, click on the scheme 'Solo Drama Competition'. You will be taken to the schemes page. Navigate and download the application form of the scheme. The application form is available in both Gujarati and English languages, and the applicant should take print of the form in their preferred language.
Step 3: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, paste the passport-sized photograph (signed across, if required), and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest, if required).
Step 4: Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the documents, within the prescribed period (if any), to the designated authority at the Gujarat State Sangeet Natak Academy.
Step 5: After successful submission, the applicant will receive an acknowledgement or reference number. The applicant should save this reference number for future correspondence and tracking of the application status.

Post-Application Processes

Step 1: Once the application is approved, the applicant will be notified about the date, time, and venue of the state-level solo drama competition. The applicant must attend the competition at the scheduled time and perform their solo drama act before the judges.
Step 2: After the competition concludes, the results will be evaluated and declared by the organizing committee. Winners will be notified through official channels, and prizes will be distributed to the first and second prize winners, as well as special category award recipients as per the scheme guidelines.
