Details

The Skill Up-gradation scheme aims to enhance the skills of weavers, artisans, and craftsmen associated with the textile business to meet current market demands. Given the unique nature of this business, it is essential to bring changes in the processes of weaving, dyeing, and printing. To enable weavers to succeed in market competition, the corporation has launched this program. Under this scheme, intensive 15-day camps are organized for groups of 25 weavers/artisans in concentrated weaving areas, benefiting them by practically enhancing their skills in line with current market demands and fashion trends. In the current year, 100 weavers will be benefited, with the selection of locations and weavers currently in process.
