Details

The Silicosis Policy was launched by the state government on October 3, 2019. This policy addresses the issue of workers suffering from silicosis, an incurable disease caused by exposure to dust in mines, factories, stone crushing, powder manufacturing, gravel production, and stone sculpture work. The policy provides financial assistance to individuals affected by silicosis, along with measures for identifying workplaces and workers, rehabilitation, and prevention and control of the disease.

Eligibility

All workers exposed to dust in mining, stone crushing, and related industries can apply for assistance under this policy.
