Details
This scheme is known as the Silicosis Assistance Scheme for registered beneficiaries suffering from silicosis under the Rajasthan Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. It will be effective throughout the state of Rajasthan. The scheme will be applicable to building and other construction workers who are registered under Section 12 of the Act and hold a beneficiary identification card under Section 13, and are regularly contributing to the fund. The assistance amount provided to silicosis-affected beneficiaries will be as follows: (1) ₹1,00,000 for being affected by silicosis, and (2) ₹3,00,000 in case of death due to silicosis.

Eligibility
- Construction workers registered as beneficiaries with the board and who are making contributions.
- The beneficiary must be certified as suffering from silicosis by the Pneumoconiosis Medical Board as per the Rajasthan Workers' Compensation (Occupational Diseases) Rules, 1965.
- The beneficiary should not have received assistance from the Rajasthan Environment and Health Cess Fund (Rehab). Note: A silicosis-affected person can receive assistance from only one of the schemes, either from the Rajasthan Environment and Health Cess Fund or from the board's scheme.
Exclusions
Workers engaged in mines and quarries, who are covered under the provisions of the Mines Act, 1952, and are not included in the definition of building or other construction work as per Section 2(d) of the Act, will not be eligible for assistance.
Application Process
Online
- The application must be submitted in the prescribed format (Form-1) by the beneficiary or their dependents at the relevant district labor office or to any authorized officer.
- The following documents must be attached with the application:
- Copy of the beneficiary identification card/booklet.
- Certificate related to silicosis from the Pneumoconiosis Medical Board.
- Bank account details.
- The authorized officer will verify the application, and if found complete and satisfactory, the assistance amount will be disbursed by cheque within 30 days from the date of application.
