Details
The SCSP Ag Wells Scheme focuses on the electrification of scheduled caste areas through grants received from the state government under the special institutional sub-plan. Beneficiaries from scheduled castes are provided with free household electricity connections. To qualify, beneficiaries must present a caste certificate from the Social Welfare Department. While the electricity connection is free, beneficiaries are responsible for paying their electricity bills based on consumption. The scheme also includes proper electrification and improvement works in the areas that have been electrified.

Eligibility
Eligible applicants must be from the scheduled caste community and can be farmers. There are no specific educational or income limits.

- Obtain a caste certificate from the Social Welfare Department.
- Submit the application form to the Subdivisional Office.
- Required attachments include:
- Caste Certificate copy of 7/12, 8-A, and 6-A (Record of rights)
- Identity proof of the applicant
- Consent on notarized stamp paper if there are co-owners/partners.
- Application forms are available at all Subdivisional Offices and on all Discom websites.
