The scheme “Science Communication and Popularization” is implemented by the Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology (UCOST) under the Science and Technology, Government of Uttarakhand. It aims to promote scientific thinking and awareness among citizens by providing support and funding to educational institutions, R&D organizations, and NGOs to organize science communication activities.

  • Proposals are invited twice a year through advertisements published on the website: https://www.ucost.in. - The received proposals are evaluated in the Project Evaluation Group (PEG) meeting, where expert committee members assess them and recommend proposals for funding that address state-specific issues and contribute to the overall welfare of the state.
