The “Scholarship to Divyang Students (Class 1 to 8)” scheme has been implemented by the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to regularly enrolled disable students from Class 1 to 8.

Eligibility
- The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
- The applicant must be a disabled student.
- The applicant must be studying in Class 1 to 8.
- The applicant’s annual family income must be less than ₹24,000/-.
- The student must not availing benefits from any other scholarship scheme.

Application Process
Online
- Students can apply online for scholarship by visiting the NSP Portal of Government of India (https://scholarships.gov.in/. - The following documents will be attached with the application: Aadhaar card of the applicant, mobile number, certified photo and CBS bank account which is Aadhaar linked/seeded, previous class passed mark sheet, disability certificate, income certificate, self-declaration certificate that the applicant is not taking benefit of any other scholarship scheme of the government.
- The student sends the application to his/her educational institution; the concerned educational institution verifies the application form and forwards it online to the District Social Welfare Officer.
- The District Social Welfare Officer examines the received application form and gets the complete application forms physically verified. Incomplete applications (which can be corrected) are temporarily marked as defective, otherwise they are completely rejected. The scholarship amount is paid to the eligible applicants directly in their bank account in the financial year as per the availability of budget.
