The "Scheme to Provide Monthly Financial Assistance to Elderly and Eligible Writers" is a welfare initiative implemented by the Gujarat Sahitya Academy to provide financial security to elderly writers who have significantly contributed to Gujarati, Hindi, Sanskrit, Sindhi, Urdu, or Kutchi literature. The scheme offers monthly assistance to writers who are 60 years of age or older, have no steady pension or major income source, and are economically disadvantaged.

Eligibility
- The applicant must be 60 years or older.
- The applicant must have made a significant literary contribution (e.g., authored books, received awards, or provided literary service).
- The applicant must belong to one of the recognized language academies: Gujarati, Hindi, Sanskrit, Sindhi, Urdu, or Kutchi.
- The applicant’s annual family income must be below ₹1,20,000 in rural areas and below ₹1,50,000 in urban areas, certified by the Mamlatdar.
- The applicant must not be receiving any pension.
- The applicant must not already be receiving financial support under similar schemes.
