"Scheme to Provide Financial Assistance in the Form of Grant-In-Aid to Bhajani/ Choir/ Cultural Group/ Institutions for Purchase of Musical Instruments" implemented by the Directorate of Art and Culture, Government of Goa, provides financial assistance in the form of Grant-In-Aid to the Bhajani/ Choir/ Cultural Groups /Institutions for the purchase of Musical Instruments of their choice.
Objectives
- To encourage and sustain the Bhajani Mandals, Choir Groups, and Cultural Troupes who contribute to a great extent to the preservation of cultural heritage with their cultural and musical performances.
- To give financial support to organizations/institutions for the promotion and preservation of age-old culture.
- To promote local talent and to promote local cultural troupes.
Benefits
- 1. Lumpsum grants / financial assistance to the maximum extent of ₹15,000/- per Group/ Institution for the purchase of Musical Instruments only. NOTE: The Government / Department may restrict the number of groups/institutions in each category according to the availability of the funds

Eligibility
- The Mandal/ Group/ Institution/ Troupe should consist of at least a minimum of 10 members.
- The Mandal/ Group/ Institution/ Troupe should be conducting regular musical performances like bhajans, choir singing, folk performances etc.
- The Mandal/ Group/ Institution/ Troupe should not already have received the benefits of this scheme.

Application Process
Offline
Step 1: The interested applicant should visit the Directorate Of Art & Culture, Government of Goa, 5th Floor, Shram Shakti Bhavan, Panaji, Patto, Panaji, Goa - 403001
Step 2: Take a print of the proforma of the application form, or request a hard copy from the concerned authority.
Step 3: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, paste the passport-sized photograph (signed across), and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest if required).
