Additionally, students should not be receiving any other scholarships or allowances from central or state government sources, and they must not reside in hostels run by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment. The scholarship is only applicable for one year, and if a student fails in any examination, their scholarship will be suspended, although they can reapply if they pass in the subsequent year. Students studying in Government Swami Vivekananda Model Schools are also eligible. Aadhaar and Jan Aadhar authentication is mandatory for the students.
