Rate of Scholarships:

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand.
  • The applicant must be studying in Classes 6 to 12 in a Sainik School located outside Uttarakhand.
  • The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of the applicant’s family income.
  • The applicant is not eligible if the monthly family income exceeds ₹22,000/-.

Application Process

Offline

  • The student studying in a Sainik School located outside Uttarakhand will apply for a scholarship in that school.
  • Along with the application, the student must submit the following documents: a valid family income certificate issued by the tehsil, permanent residence certificate, Aadhaar card, and proof of an Aadhaar-linked bank account. All Sainik Schools located outside the state will forward the applications to Sainik School Ghorakhal. Sainik School Ghorakhal will compile the applications, prepare a proposal, and send it to the department.
  • The department will allocate funds to the concerned schools through Sainik School Ghorakhal, and the schools will disburse the scholarship to the students via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
