Details

In accordance with the Chief Minister's budget announcement for the year 2019-20, the Revolving Fund has been established to enhance the production of Khadi textiles in the state. The fund aims to promote both traditional and modern Khadi textiles, increase employment opportunities in the Khadi sector, and provide sufficient raw materials to Khadi institutions. The fund amount has been increased from 3 crore to 10 crore rupees, with a ten-year duration. This fund will help certified Khadi institutions in the state to overcome the lack of working capital for the production of cotton and woolen Khadi textiles, thereby increasing Khadi production in the coming years. The state government has previously provided financial assistance to Khadi institutions under various initiatives, including the Khadi Cluster Scheme and the Small Khadi Project. Currently, 177 registered and certified Khadi institutions are engaged in production and sales under the Khadi program in the state.
