The Agricultural Power Connections (including Darkzone) Scheme aims to reduce the backlog in providing agricultural electrification by the State Government. Since 2012-13, financial allocations have been made for electrifying non-tribal areas under the General Scheme. The costs associated with heavy/light pressure lines, transformer centers, etc., are not charged to the applicant under the normal scheme. Applicants are only required to pay the Registration Charge, Security Deposit, Agreement, Hon. Fix charges, and test report fees as per the Electricity Regulatory Commission, which will be reimbursed. In dark zone areas, applicants must adopt a micro irrigation system as per the rules.
