Details
The scheme “Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship Scheme” was introduced during the year 2005-2006 by the Department of Education, Government of Haryana under the Education Encouragement for Excellence (EEE) – Scholarships for High/Senior Secondary School Students. This scheme aims to encourage and reward brilliant students by providing incentives/scholarships, provided they have secured a first division in their previous class. Under this scheme, scholarships/incentives are awarded to students from Class VI to Class XII who secured the first position in their respective classes in the preceding academic year. One student from the boys' category and one from the girls' category in each school, from Class VI to Class XII, will be awarded the scholarship.

• To inculcate a spirit of competition among students to excel in studies.
Benefits
- Scholarship Amount: 1. ₹750/- per annum for middle-class students (Class VI to VIII). 1. ₹1,000/- per annum for High and Senior Secondary students (Class IX to XII)
Scholarship Amount:
- ₹ 750/- per annum for middle-class students (Class VI to VIII).
- ₹ 1,000/- per annum for High and Senior Secondary students (Class IX to XII).
Eligibility
- The applicant should be a student of a government school in Haryana.
- The applicant should be studying in Class VI to Class XII.
- The applicant should have secured the first position in the preceding class.
- The applicant should have obtained a first division in the preceding examination.
Application Process
Offline
- The scheme beneficiary does not require a separate application process.
- Eligible students are selected automatically based on their academic performance.
- The selection is done through school records, and the scholarship is awarded to students who secure the first position in their class with a first-division result.
- The school authorities verify eligibility and forward the list of selected students to the Department of Education, Haryana, which then processes and directly transfers the scholarship amount to the student's bank account.
