The scheme "Promotion of Duets/Duos/Trios/Quartets/Quintets/Choral Songs" was launched by the Tiatr Academy of Goa. The scheme aims to preserve the traditional concept of singing of duets/duos/trios/quartets/quintets/choral songs, which has been on the decline, and to ensure that the correct concept as done traditionally by the tiatr stage artistes of yesteryears is followed. The scheme provides cash prizes ranging from ₹1,000/- to ₹6,000/- for various categories and certificates to winners and participants. The applicant must be aged either above 16 years to 25 years or up to 16 years on the day fixed for submission of application and must present original compositions with interactive lyrics. The scheme is implemented by Tiatr Academy of Goa. The applications for this scheme are accepted offline.

Eligibility
- The applicant must be aged either above 16 years to 25 years or up to 16 years on the day fixed for submission of application.
- The applicant must present original compositions that have not been recorded on any audio albums.
- The applicant must ensure that songs which have won 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes in any competitions organized by Kala Academy/Art & Culture Department/Tiatr Academy of Goa are not considered for first three prizes in this competition.
- The applicant must not have participated in popular tiatr performances.
- The applicant must participate in any one of the three sections: Section 1 (Duet or Duo), Section 2 (Trio or Quartet), or Section 3 (Quintet or Choral).
- The applicant must ensure that duets are sung by a male and female singer with interactive lyrics depicting two different characters.
- The applicant must ensure that duos are sung by two male singers or two female singers with interactive lyrics depicting two different characters.
- The applicant must ensure that trios are sung by three singers with interactive lyrics depicting three different characters.
- The applicant must ensure that quartets/quintets are sung by four/five singers with interactive lyrics depicting four/five different characters.
- The applicant must ensure that choral songs are sung by two, three or four singers in different voices.
Exclusions
- Singers who have participated in popular tiatr are not eligible to participate in this competition.
- Songs that have won prizes in previous Kala Academy/Art & Culture Department/Tiatr Academy of Goa competitions are not eligible for first three prizes.
Application Process
Offline
Step 1: The interested applicant should take a printout of the prescribed format of the application form.
Step 2: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest, if required). Sign the application form and mention the date.
Step 3: Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the documents to -

*Applicants are advised to save a copy of the submitted application form and any acknowledgment.
*The application must be submitted to the office of the Tiatr Academy of Goa at least 30 days in advance of the proposed programme date.
*Applications are considered on a "First come First Serve" basis, subject to the availability of funds.
