Details

The Pradhanmantri Matruvandana Yojana aims to provide health and nutrition support to mothers after pregnancy and childbirth. The scheme focuses on reducing anemia and malnutrition during pregnancy, thereby decreasing maternal mortality rates. A healthy mother is essential for giving birth to a healthy child, which in turn helps reduce the infant mortality rate.

Benefits

  • - Financial assistance of Rs. 5000 in two installments for the first child (Rs. 3000 for the first installment and Rs. 2000 for the second installment)
  • Financial assistance of Rs. 6000 in one installment after the birth of the second child if the second child is a girl
  • Financial assistance of Rs. 5000 in two installments for the first child (Rs. 3000 for the first installment and Rs. 2000 for the second installment).
  • Financial assistance of Rs. 6000 in one installment after the birth of the second child if the second child is a girl.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants include:

  • Holders of E-Shram Card
  • Unorganised Labour (excluding Scheduled Castes and E-Nirman card holders)
  • Pregnant and Lactating Women
  • Pregnant women from BPL families
  • SC and ST persons

Exclusions

Individuals from Scheduled Castes and E-Nirman card holders are not eligible.

  • Copy of E-Shram Card
