PMSBY is an Accident Insurance Scheme that provides coverage for accidental death and disability. The scheme offers a one-year cover that is renewable annually. It is designed for individual bank and post office account holders aged between 18 to 70 years in participating banks and post offices.
Benefits
- - Accidental death cover of ₹2lakh for total and irrecoverable loss of both eyes, both hands, or both feet
- Accidental death cover of ₹1lakh for total and irrecoverable loss of sight of one eye or loss of use of one hand or foot
- Premium of ₹20per annum per member, deducted via auto-debit from the account holder’s bank or post office account
- Accidental death cover of ₹2 lakh for total and irrecoverable loss of both eyes, both hands, or both feet.
- Accidental death cover of ₹1 lakh for total and irrecoverable loss of sight of one eye or loss of use of one hand or foot.
- Premium of ₹20 per annum per member, deducted via auto-debit from the account holder’s bank or post office account.

All individual bank and post office account holders aged 18 to 70 years in participating banks and post offices.
