The Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana is a scheme under the Public Distribution System that provides free food grains every month to two categories of families: Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) families and priority households covered under the National Food Security Act, 2013. The scheme has been extended from January 2024 to December 2028, with an income limit of Rs. 2,40,000 as per the government resolution dated August 23, 2024.
