Details
The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) is a major mission initiated by the Government of India on June 25, 2015, implemented by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA). The mission aims to provide housing for all urban poor by ensuring basic amenities such as toilets, water, electricity, and kitchens in all homes under this scheme. It promotes women's empowerment by providing ownership of homes in the name of women or jointly. The scheme operates in all urban local body areas of Rajasthan.
Benefits
- - Central assistance of up to ₹1.5 lakh per house, disbursed in three installments (40%:40%:20%)
- BLC: Central assistance of ₹1.5 lakh for construction of houses on own land for homeless families
- AHP: Central assistance of ₹1.5 lakh for allocation of houses/flats constructed under the Chief Minister's Housing Scheme for landless families
- ISSR: Central assistance of ₹1lakh per house for redevelopment of slums at the same location
- CLSS: Interest subsidy of up to ₹2.67 lakh for housing loans for EWS, LIG, and MIG-I & II categories

Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Annual income should not exceed ₹3 lakh for EWS, ₹6 lakh for LIG, and ₹18 lakh for MIG-I & II.
- The applicant must not own a permanent house anywhere in India.
- The applicant should not have received any grant under any previous housing scheme by the Government of India.
Exclusions
Individuals who own a permanent house anywhere in India or have received grants under any previous housing schemes by the Government of India are not eligible.
