Application Process
Offline
- There is no provision for submitting a separate application under the scheme. From time to time, the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, has selected eligible beneficiaries for housing based on the Social, Economic and Caste Census (SECC) 2011.
- For families who were left out in the SECC 2011 survey but were eligible for PMAY-G housing, the Government of India conducted the Awaas Plus Survey through a mobile app from July 2017 to 30 June 2018. Based on the Awaas Plus survey data, a permanent waitlist was prepared, and since the year 2020-21, housing targets have been allocated by the Government of India on the basis of this list. Currently, the financial assistance is being transferred directly to the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries.
