The Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) has launched the Post Matric Scholarship to ST students of Nagaland scheme for providing socio-economic welfare to the students belonging to the residentship of Nagaland state. The student must be studying or getting admission to the post-matric class (class 11th, 12, UG, PG Degree).
Post-matric Scholarship for ST Scholarship is awarded to the students of the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. The objective of the ST scholarship is to provide financial assistance to these students to complete their studies at the college level.

Eligibility
- The applicant should be pursuing post-matric studies (above Class X) and belong to the Scheduled Tribe of Nagaland.
- The applicant should have parents’/guardian’s annual income not exceeding ₹2.50 lakh from all sources.
- The applicant should be studying in an institution with a valid AISHE/UDISE code.
- The applicant should not be a repeater (students who failed in the last examination are not eligible).
- The applicant should not have availed this scholarship at the same stage of education in a different stream or subject.
- The applicant should not have a study break of more than two years.
- The applicant should not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship scheme.
- The applicant should not be employed in any Government or Semi-Government establishment.
- The applicant should be pursuing a Diploma or Certificate course of at least two years duration, if applicable, and must fulfil all the above criteria.
- The applicant should be studying under NIOS, if applicable, and must fulfil the above criteria and have passed Class 10 with English, Alternative English/MIL, Science, Mathematics, and Social Science for Class 11 or 12 level courses.

Offline
Step 1: Institutions inform students about the scholarship and fix a deadline for submission of forms and documents.
Step 2: Institutions verify applications, prepare Annexure IV, and ensure the applicant’s bank account is in their own name.
Step 3: Institutions display the list of eligible/rejected students for correction before final submission.
Step 4: Submit Annexure IV (soft and hard copy) along with required documents to the Department within the deadline.
Step 5: The Head of Institution ensures all documents are complete and genuine.
