Details

Poshan Abhiyan was launched by the Honorable Prime Minister on March 8, 2018, in Jhunjhunu district to address the serious issue of malnutrition affecting one-third of children in the country. The National Nutrition Mission is being implemented by the Women and Child Development Department, targeting children aged 0-6 years, adolescents, and women across the state. The primary goal of the Poshan Abhiyan is to reduce the rates of stunting, underweight, anemia, and low birth weight among mothers, children, and adolescent girls. This initiative aims to improve health and nutrition by establishing coordination among frontline workers from various departments.

  • Children aged 0-6 years.
  • Adolescent girls and women.
  • Families with children under 1000 days of age.
