Details
The PM Vishwakarma Yojana, launched by the Ministry of MSME on September 17, 2023, aims to support artisans and craftspeople engaged in 18 traditional trades. The scheme provides registration at the village and urban local body levels, followed by verification at district and state levels. Selected artisans will receive a PM Vishwakarma Certificate and ID card, along with various financial and training benefits. The scheme is designed to uplift the socio-economic status of artisans by integrating them into domestic and global value chains.
Benefits
- - Basic skill training with a stipend of ₹500per day for 5-7 days
- Collateral-free loan up to ₹1lakh for 18 months as the first tranche
- Advanced skill training with a stipend of ₹500per day for 15 days
- Loan up to ₹2lakh for 30 months as the second tranche
- Tool kit assistance of ₹15,000 5% interest on loans, with the remaining interest covered by the government up to 8%
- Incentive of ₹1per digital transaction for up to 100 transactions per month
- Marketing support for artisans

Eligibility
- Artisans engaged in one of the 18 traditional family-based occupations mentioned in the scheme.
- Minimum age of 18 years on the date of registration.
- Must be actively engaged in the relevant business and should not have availed loans under similar government schemes in the last five years, except for those who have repaid loans under PMEGP, PM-Svanidhi, or Mudra.
- Registration and benefits are limited to one member of a family, defined as husband, wife, and unmarried children.
- Government employees and their family members are not eligible.
