The Pashudhan Nishulk Aarogya Yojna was launched on August 15, 2012. Under this scheme, essential medicines for animal health services are distributed free of charge. The main objectives of the scheme are to provide necessary medicines for animal health protection for free, thereby reducing the costs associated with livestock treatment. It aims to ensure timely treatment for animals that are deprived of veterinary services due to lack of funds, and to reduce the mortality rate of animals through timely treatment of sick animals. Beneficiaries include animals brought to veterinary institutions for treatment, animals attending veterinary camps organized at the departmental level, and sick animals in affected areas during outbreaks and emergencies.
