Details

Palanhar Yojana has been started by the state government to benefit the orphan children of the state. Under the Palanhar Yojana, arrangements for the upbringing, education, etc. of orphan children of the state or those whose parents have died will not be institutionalized, but in the family of the closest relative/acquaintance of the boys and girls within the society. Education, food, clothes, and other necessary facilities will be made available by the state in a family environment by making an interested person a foster.

This scheme is for different categories of boys/girls with special care and protection from 0 to 18 years of the state by the Government of Rajasthan. Arrangements for the care and upbringing of the boys/girls coming under this are made by a close relative/acquaintance within the family. The caretaker of the boys/girls has been appointed guardian. The government ensures the economic, social, and educational development of boys / girls and provides Monthly basis financial assistance.

Benefits

  • 1. Orphan Category : For the age group (0 to 6 years) : Rs. 1500/- per month. For the age group (6 to 18 years) : Rs. 2500/- per month. 1. Other Category: For the age group (0 to 6 years) : Rs. 500/- per month. For the age group (6 to 18 years) : Rs. 1000/- per month. 1. For Books/Stationaries/Dress/Sweater/shoes etc: Rs. 2000/- per year

Eligibility

  1. Orphan boy/girl.
  2. Children of parents sentenced to death/life imprisonment under judicial orders.
  3. Children of a widowed mother receiving a pension (maximum 3 children at a time).
  4. Children of remarried widowed mothers.
  5. Children of HIV/AIDS affected mother/father.
  6. Children of parents suffering from leprosy.
  7. Children of related mothers (Maximum 3 children at a time).
  8. Children of specially-abled parents.
  9. Children of divorced/abandoned women receiving the pension.
  10. Children of parents suffering from silicosis.
  11. The age of the child should be less than 18 years.
  12. If Child age is 18 and still studying/staying in 12th class or lower class, then in such a situation such children will be given an additional one year ( The benefit can be provided till the age of 19 years). The said benefit will not be payable after the child completes 19 years of age or passes 12th class.
  13. The certificate that the guardian is a native of Rajasthan state or has been residing in the state for more than three years.
  14. Guardian Family income should not be more than Rs. 1.20 Laks per annum.
