Oral Documentation of History of Tiatr
Aimed at preserving the oral history of tiatr, this initiative documents the experiences of veteran artistes through high-definition video recordings. Eligible participants receive remuneration as determined by the Tiatr Academy of Goa, along with a copy of the recorded documentation for personal preservation.

The scheme "Oral Documentation of History of Tiatr" was launched by the Tiatr Academy under the Art, Culture and Museums Department, Government of Goa. The scheme aims to preserve the rich experiences of veteran tiatr artistes who have contributed immensely to the development of Tiatr, as their experiences form a part and parcel of the history of Tiatr for future generations. The scheme provides video recording of artistes' experiences on High Definition or higher format camera with preservation on Digital Versatile Disc at Tiatr Academy of Goa's Library and a onetime remuneration as fixed by the Tiatr Academy of Goa. The applicant must have made at least 20 years contribution to the Konkani stage and must be a script writer, director, actor, singer, musician, backstage artiste or organizer involved in tiatrs. The scheme is implemented by the Tiatr Academy of Goa and applications for this scheme are accepted offline.

Eligibility
- The applicant must be a veteran artist who has contributed to the development of Tiatr.
- The applicant must be a script writer, director, actor, singer, musician, backstage artiste involved in stage setting, light effects, background music, costumes, make-up, or those involved in organizing tiatrs.
- The applicant must have made at least 20 years of contribution to the Konkani stage.
- The applicant who is a writer or director must have scripted at least 15 tiatrs.
- The applicant who is other than writer or director must have participated in at least 20 tiatrs.
Preference, Selection and Implementation
- At least five artistes will be considered for documentation in a financial year.
- Artistes will be selected by the Managing Committee of Tiatr Academy of Goa.
- Preference will be given to old and sick artistes.
Application Process
Offline
Step 1: The interested applicant should take a printout of the prescribed format of the application form. The application form requires details including the name of the artiste, address, contact number, email, Aadhaar Card number, and aspects of tiatr on which the artiste has contributed to the tiatr stage.
Step 2: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest, if required). Provide detailed information about your contribution to the tiatr stage on a separate sheet as indicated in the form. Sign the application form and mention the date.
Step 3: Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the documents to -

*Applicants are advised to save a copy of the submitted application form and any acknowledgment received for future reference.
