Details
The scheme aims to encourage tribal students in the scheduled areas to participate in sports and prepare them for national and international competitions. Six sports academies and six sports hostels are being operated, with a total capacity of 875 students. The hostels are designed for both boys and girls, providing admission to tribal athletes from classes 6 to 12 across the state. Selection of students is based on specific battery tests and skill assessments. Students admitted to the hostels receive free meals, accommodation, school uniforms, and other necessary materials according to the approved pattern. They also benefit from regular study facilities at nearby schools along with all amenities provided by the sports hostels.

Eligibility
Tribal students from classes 6 to 12 in the scheduled areas can apply. Admission is based on performance in specific tests.
