Details

The Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) are being operated by the Tribal Area Development Department to provide education to tribal students who cannot continue their studies due to the absence of a suitable school within 5 kilometers of their residence and their family's weak economic condition. The aim is to ensure that these students can continue their education.

Eligibility

Students eligible for the EMRS must meet the following criteria:

  1. Tribal students whose residence is more than 5 km away from a high primary and secondary/higher secondary school.
  2. Parents or guardians should not be income taxpayers.
  3. The family should not own more than 400 square yards of urban land.
  4. Agricultural land should not exceed 15 bighas.
  5. New applicants will be admitted based on merit.
  6. Priority will be given to tribal students from the same area; other students may be admitted if space is available.
  7. Students must pass to be eligible for admission in the following year.
  8. Must be a native of Rajasthan.
