Details
The Government of Himachal Pradesh, Department of Social Justice & Empowerment has launched Old Age Pension Scheme with the aim to provide social security to destitute elderly people of the state. In this scheme, a financial assistance of ₹ 850/- per month to pensioners aged between 60 years to 69 years and ₹ 1500/- per month to pensioners aged 70 years and above is provided.

Eligibility
- The applicants must be a resident of Himachal Pradesh state.
- Such elderly persons whose age is 60 years or more and who do not have proper means of care/upbringing and who have minor children and whose family annual income from all sources does not exceed ₹ 35,000/- Or;
- Such elderly persons whose annual family income from all sources does not exceed ₹ 35000/- are eligible for the scheme.

Offline
Step 1: Download the Social Security Pension Application Form.
Step 2: Fill in all the mandatory fields, paste the recent passport-sized photograph (signed across), and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attested).
Step 3: Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the documents to the concerned authority at:
Office of Panchayat
Tehsil Welfare Officer
District Welfare Officer.
