The New India Literacy Programme (NILP) is a centrally sponsored initiative by the Government of India, launched on April 1, 2022, to promote literacy among individuals aged 15 and above in both urban and rural areas across all 33 districts of Rajasthan. This volunteer-based mass campaign aims to enhance foundational literacy and numeracy, critical life skills, basic education, vocational skill development, and continuing education. The program is implemented through online modes, utilizing a mobile app for surveys of learners and volunteer teachers.
