The New Health Insurance Scheme is designed to provide health insurance benefits to government employees. Under this scheme, a monthly subscription of Rs.10 is collected from each government employee. The scheme offers assistance covering 75% of the medical expenses incurred, or up to Rs.1.00 lakh, whichever is less, for treatments related to ailments approved under the scheme. Employees must apply for assistance by submitting the necessary documentation related to their treatment.
Under this scheme a sum of Rs.10/- is recovered as subscription every month from the Government employee. Assistance to the tune of 75% of the expenses or Rs.1.00 lakh whichever is less is granted to those who apply for assistance with the documents relating to treatment taken for ailments approved under the scheme.
