Details
The Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Nagaland, offers the NEC Stipend and Book Grant Scheme for Nagaland domiciled students pursuing higher professional courses. The scheme is open to Scheduled Tribe and General category students. The number of stipends awarded each year depends on fund availability.

Eligibility
- The applicant should be a permanent resident of Nagaland State.
- The applicant should belong to Scheduled Tribe (ST) or General category.
- The applicant should have secured a minimum of 60% marks in the last qualifying examination if belonging to the ST category.
- The applicant should have secured a minimum of 75% marks in the last qualifying examination if belonging to the General category.
- The applicant should be pursuing a Higher Professional course approved by the North Eastern Council (NEC).

Step 1: Visit the official Government of Nagaland scholarship portal.
Step 2: Click on “New Registration” and complete the registration by entering the required details. Note down the registered User ID and Password for future login.
Step 3: Log in to the portal and click on “Online Services”. Select the desired scholarship scheme from the DHE menu.
Step 4: Fill in the remaining application details carefully and submit the online form.
Step 5: Take a printout of the submitted application form and submit it to your respective institution.
