Nationwide Artificial Insemination Programme

The Madhya Pradesh government has launched a nationwide Artificial Insemination (AI) programme to improve the reproductive health of livestock and enhance the productivity of livestock. The programme is being implemented with the help of the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, the Government of India and the National Dairy Development Board.
Through this programme, AI technicians will be trained at the district level and AI services will be provided to the farmers. The programme will focus on the use of quality semen and improved scientific techniques for better reproductive performance. The programme also aims to reduce the cost of artificial insemination for the farmers. The programme is expected to help the farmers to improve their income and the overall economic condition of the state

1. Increased fertility rate: The programme will help to increase the fertility rate by providing access to artificial insemination services. This will help to improve the fertility rate of cows, buffaloes, goats and sheep in the state.
2. Improved quality of livestock: The programme will help to improve the quality of livestock through the use of improved semen from superior bulls. This will help to improve the production of milk and meat as well as the quality of the animals.
3. Improved animal health: Artificial insemination will help to improve the health of animals by reducing the spread of diseases. This will help to reduce the number of deaths of animals due to disease.
4. Increased production: The programme will help to increase the production of milk and meat, which will help to improve the economic status of farmers.

1. The livestock owner should be a resident of Madhya Pradesh.
2. The applicant should have valid livestock registration documents.
3. The applicant should have the required infrastructure to undertake AI operations.
4. The applicant should not belong to any of the scheduled castes and tribes.
5. The applicant should have the required knowledge and skill to undertake AI operations.
6. The applicant should not have any prior criminal record.

1. Visit the official website of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services of Madhya Pradesh.
2. Locate the “Nationwide Artificial Insemination Programme” link and click on it.
3. Read the instructions carefully and click on the “Apply Now” button.
4. Fill out the application form with all the required information and submit it.
5. After submission, an acknowledgment will be sent to your registered email ID.
6. Wait for the confirmation mail from the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services of Madhya Pradesh.
7. Once your application is approved, you will receive an AI Kit with all the necessary items required for the AI process.
8. Follow the instructions given in the AI kit and complete the process.
