Details
Launched in 2024, the scheme "NAMO Shree Scheme" by the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Gujarat, aims to ensure that every pregnant woman and lactating mother of the state gets proper nutritional support and also encourages them to have institutional deliveries for women's empowerment and improving maternal health. The scheme provides financial assistance of ₹12,000/- to eligible women beneficiaries and covers expenses from conception to delivery of the child. The applicant must be Gujarat's pregnant woman or a lactating mother, whose family income is not more than ₹8,00,000/- per year, and must deliver a child in any government or private hospital. The scheme is implemented by the Women and Child Development Department of the Gujarat Government, and registration under this scheme is done at the time of the first antenatal check-up through an Accredited Social Health Activist or Auxiliary Nurse Midwife Worker at the nearest Anganwadi Centre.
Benefits
- Financial Assistance Amount Eligible women beneficiaries receive ₹12,000/- from conception to delivery of the child for their first two live children, distributed in phases. Disbursal for First Pregnancy
- ₹5,000/- at the time of registration (₹2,000/- from State Government and ₹3,000/- from Central Government)
- ₹2,000/- after six months of pregnancy (from the State Government)
- ₹3,000/- immediately after institutional delivery (from the State Government)
- ₹2,000/- after the 14-week vaccination (from the Central Government) Disbursal for Second Pregnancy

- ₹6,000/- after institutional delivery (amount given by the Central Government if the newborn is a girl and by the State Government if the newborn is a boy)
- ₹1,000/- from the State Government after the 14-week vaccination Mode of Disbursement: The Amount is transferred directly into the beneficiary woman& 39;s bank account through installments. Additional Benefits: Beneficiary women are also eligible to avail the benefits of other Central Government schemes like Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana and Janani Suraksha Yojana. Conditions for Availment A certificate from the Medical Institution of Delivery is required for the last installment
Financial Assistance Amount
Eligible women beneficiaries receive ₹12,000/- from conception to delivery of the child for their first two live children, distributed in phases.

- ₹5,000/- at the time of registration (₹2,000/- from State Government and ₹3,000/- from Central Government)
- ₹2,000/- after six months of pregnancy (from the State Government)
- ₹3,000/- immediately after institutional delivery (from the State Government)
- ₹2,000/- after the 14-week vaccination (from the Central Government)
Disbursal for Second Pregnancy
- ₹2,000/- at the time of registration
- ₹3,000/- after six months of pregnancy
- ₹6,000/- after institutional delivery (amount given by the Central Government if the newborn is a girl and by the State Government if the newborn is a boy)
- ₹1,000/- from the State Government after the 14-week vaccination
Mode of Disbursement: The Amount is transferred directly into the beneficiary woman's bank account through installments.

A certificate from the Medical Institution of Delivery is required for the last installment.
Eligibility
- The applicant must be from Gujarat.
- The applicant must be a pregnant woman or a lactating mother.
- The applicant must belong to one of the following categories:
- Scheduled Tribe
- Scheduled Caste
- Beneficiary of the National Food Security Act
- Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana Beneficiary
- Below Poverty Line families
- E Shram Card holder women beneficiary
- Women who are farmers
- Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act beneficiary
- The applicant's family income must not be more than ₹8,00,000/- per year.
- The applicant must deliver the child in any government or private hospital.
- The applicant must register at the time of the first antenatal check-up.
Application Process
Offline
Step 1: Visit the Nearest Anganwadi Centre
The applicant must visit their nearest Anganwadi Centre to initiate the registration process for the NAMO Shree Scheme.
Step 2: Registration by Accredited Social Health Activist or Auxiliary Nurse Midwife Worker
The Accredited Social Health Activist or Auxiliary Nurse Midwife Worker at the Anganwadi Centre will register the pregnant woman in the NAMO Shree Scheme. The registration must be completed at the time of the first antenatal check-up.
Step 3: Final Approval Process
The final approval for the scheme benefits will be provided by the Women and Child Development Department of the Government of Gujarat after processing the registration.
Step 4: Benefit Disbursement
Once approved, the financial assistance amount will be disbursed in installments directly into the beneficiary's bank account as per the scheme guidelines.
*For receiving the final installment, the beneficiary must submit a Certificate from the Medical Institution of Delivery to complete the benefit disbursement process.
*Applicants are advised to save copies of all submitted documents and acknowledgements for future reference.
